Can you tell me your short term and long term goals? Expand Our short-term goal is to enable the establishment of a dedicated ophthalmic gene therapy centre located in Hobart, Australia. Long term we would like to have an impact on global blindness, giving sight back to those that are needlessly blind through lack of resources. Research is an integral part of any medical speciality, Ophthalmology included. Without research, there would not be new treatment options available for any diseases. Here at Tasmanian Eye Institute, we pride ourselves on our involvement in worldwide clinical trials as well as local studies, doing our part for the ophthalmic industry.
